Wayne Nesbitt is the founder and lead instructor of Palmetto Safe Solutions. With more than 25 years of combined law-enforcement, security, and global-protection experience, he brings a rare depth of practical expertise to every training and assessment.
Wayne’s career spans local, national, and international security operations, including service as security manager for the U.S. Embassy in Afghanistan—one of the world’s most complex, high-threat environments.
He specializes in active-threat response, crisis leadership, and safety preparedness. His professional training includes ALERRT, ASIS International, and ALICE, and he has trained thousands of individuals, volunteers, and organizations in practical response strategies.
Wayne is an Insider Threat Program Manager through Carnegie Mellon University, holds High Threat Protection certification through the U.S. Department of State, and served as a hostage negotiator with FBI-certified training. His emergency-management credentials include formal FEMA and Department of Homeland Security certifications, complementing his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He also holds an active Secret security clearance.
