Are the courses completely online?
Yes. Online Academy courses are self-paced and delivered online. American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification training is offered separately, either fully in person or through blended learning with an instructor-led skills session.
Do I have to complete a course in one sitting?
No. Courses are self-paced, so you can pause and return during your access period.
Can my entire church take the training?
Yes if you purchase the 1-year Palmetto SafeChurch license, you get access to all courses in our library.
Does the medical-response course provide CPR/AED certification?
No. IMRT: Bleeding Control Essentials is a PSS online education course with a quiz and PSS certificate of completion. It does not provide American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Red Cross certification training is offered separately through in-person or blended courses with an instructor-led skills session.
What is the difference between online medical-response training and CPR/AED certification?
Online IMRT focuses on bleeding-control concepts and emergency priorities and awards a PSS certificate of completion. American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED training is a separate course that includes hands-on practice and skills evaluation. For blended learning, participants complete assigned online coursework before attending the instructor-led skills session.
